The Great Commission Is Still Our Mission
At Great Commission Today, our mission is simple: to obey Jesus’ words by spreading the Gospel, making disciples, and teaching the truth of God’s Word.
What Is the Great Commission?
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you”
(Matthew 28:19-20 KJV)When Jesus spoke those words, He wasn’t giving a suggestion — He was giving a commandment.
The Great Commission is the heartbeat of the Christian faith. It is Christ’s final instruction to His followers before ascending to the Father: that we would carry the message of salvation to every nation, every tongue, and every person on earth.
This command wasn’t just for the apostles — it’s for every believer. Each of us has a part to play in God’s plan of redemption. The apostle Paul reminds us in Ephesians 4:11–12 that Christ “gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry.”
Not everyone stands behind a pulpit, but every Christian is called to stand for the Gospel.
Some are called to preach, others to teach, to serve, to encourage, to give, to pray, or to send — but all are called to go. Whether across the street or across the sea, we carry the same message: that Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day according to the Scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:3–4).
The Great Commission isn’t an option for the few — it’s a sacred responsibility for us all. Until the whole world hears, the Church must keep going, teaching, baptizing, and proclaiming the good news of a risen Savior.

Our passion is to inspire and equip believers to share the Gospel with boldness—across the world or right across the street. We train, we mobilize, and we encourage God’s people to go, to make disciples, and to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:18–20; Acts 1:8).
