📖 Scripture (KJV): Acts 17:31
“Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.” —
💡 Reflection
Acts 17:31 is a powerful reminder that God’s timeline is sure, His promises are certain, and His judgment is righteous. Paul preached that there is an appointed day—a day already set in the mind of God—when Christ, the risen Savior, will judge the world in perfect holiness.
This truth should not cause fear for the believer, but confidence and urgency.
Confidence, because our Judge is also our Savior—the One who died for us, rose for us, and intercedes for us.
Urgency, because every day we live is another opportunity to walk in obedience, to witness to the lost, and to prepare our hearts for eternity.
The resurrection of Jesus is not only our hope—it is God’s proof that judgment is real and salvation is available for all who will believe. Let this verse stir you to holiness, repentance, and deeper devotion. Christ’s return is sure, and His Kingdom is at hand. Live today with eternity in view.
🙏 Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for reminding me that You have appointed a day of righteous judgment. Help me to walk in holiness, to live prepared, and to serve You with a sincere heart. Let the reality of Christ’s resurrection fill me with boldness, assurance, and urgency to share the Gospel. Strengthen my faith, purify my motives, and guide my steps so that my life brings glory to You. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
