Your Next Steps
Your Story Has Power – Because It Points to His
Your next steps are simple on purpose. You don’t need a stage, a seminary degree, or a “perfect” story. You just need a willing heart and a few practical moves that build confidence over time.
Get Equipped
Start here so you feel steady, not pressured. Watch the 30-minute “Everyday Evangelist” Part 1 and Part 2 videos, then work through the starter workbook. The goal isn’t to memorize a script; it’s to learn a clear, natural way to talk about Jesus, recognize open doors in everyday life, and know what to do when someone has questions (or when you don’t have the answers).
As you complete the workbook, expect God to sharpen your awareness—who needs encouragement, who’s curious, who’s hurting, and where you can simply be present. Take notes. Write down names. Pray over your week. You’re building a lifestyle, not cramming for a test.
Join a Team
You’re not meant to do this alone. Choose an outreach lane that fits your gifts and your season of life. Some people shine in conversations; others thrive behind the scenes making ministry possible. Both matter.
Here are a few examples of “lanes” you can step into (and you can change lanes later):
- Prayer + Intercession: covering outreach, names, and follow-up in prayer
- Hospitality + Welcome: helping people feel seen and safe when they show up
- Local Outreach: serving in your community and creating gospel conversations naturally
- Digital Outreach: encouraging, messaging, and sharing resources online
- Follow-Up + Discipleship: checking in, answering questions, helping new believers take next steps
When you join a team, you get training, encouragement, accountability, and a place where your “yes” becomes consistent fruit over time.
Start a Circle
This is where confidence grows fast. Gather 2–3 friends once a week for prayer and practice. Keep it simple and repeatable—something you can sustain even when life is busy. The purpose of the circle is to build courage, sharpen your voice, and keep your heart warm toward people.
A weekly circle can be as short as 30–45 minutes: open with prayer, share a quick win or challenge from the week, practice one piece of your testimony or a simple gospel explanation, then pray for specific names and opportunities. Over time, you’ll notice your fear shrinking and your boldness becoming calmer and more natural.
If you don’t have friends nearby, you can still start a circle by inviting two people from church, work, or a small group who have been “wanting to do more” but didn’t know how.
Tell the Story
Your testimony sparks faith in others because it’s proof God is real and active now—not just in Bible times. Sharing your story isn’t showing off; it’s pointing to what God can do for someone else.
If you’re not sure how to tell it, use a simple frame:
What life was like before (one sentence)
How Jesus met you (what changed, what you realized)
What life looks like now (the difference He’s making)
Aim for a 2–3 minute version you can share anywhere. Keep it honest, hopeful, and focused on Jesus—not on every detail. Then share what God is doing in real time: a prayer He answered, a moment of courage, a conversation that opened up, a person you’re believing for. When you tell the story, you invite others to believe again.
You’ve been stirred for a reason. Now turn that fire into action. Get equipped, join a team, start a circle, and tell the story—because obedience creates momentum. Don’t wait. the harvest is ripe!
