December 31 – Finish Faithfully, Trust God

Ecclesiastes 7:8 (KJV)
“Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.”

Reflection
As this year comes to a close, God reminds us that what matters most is not how something starts, but how it ends.

The beginning of the year may have been filled with plans, hopes, or even struggles—but God looks at faithfulness through the process.

Patience teaches us to trust God’s timing, even when outcomes are delayed or unclear. On New Year’s Eve, we are encouraged to finish the year humbly, reflectively, and faithfully, knowing that God has been working even when we could not see it.

Prayer
Lord, as this year comes to an end, I thank You for walking with me through every season—both the joys and the trials. Help me to finish this year with patience, humility, and trust in You.

Teach me to rely on Your timing and not my own pride or understanding. I place the coming year into Your hands, confident that You will complete the good work You have begun. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
