Scripture 2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
Reflection
This verse speaks to the heart of the gospel—transformation. When a person is in Christ, change is not superficial or temporary; it is complete and inward. Salvation is not about fixing the old life, but receiving a new one.
The past no longer defines the believer. Old sins, old guilt, old failures, and old identities are passed away. In Christ, God gives us a new standing, a new purpose, and a new direction.
Though we still grow daily, our identity has already been made new.
This truth gives hope to the weary and freedom to the burdened. No matter where you’ve been or what you’ve done, life in Christ begins fresh—because God specializes in making all things new.
Prayer
Father God,
Thank You for the gift of new life in Christ. Help me to walk in the truth of who You say I am, not who I used to be.
Teach me to let go of the old and to live fully in the new life You have given. Renew my mind, strengthen my faith, and let my life reflect Your transforming power.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
