Scripture (KJV) – Proverbs 3:5-6
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
Reflection
These verses call us to a full and complete trust in God—not partial, not conditional, but with all our heart. It is easy to trust God when things make sense, but real faith begins when we choose to trust Him even when we do not understand.
Leaning on our own understanding often leads to confusion, worry, and wrong decisions because our perspective is limited. But God sees the whole picture—past, present, and future. When we acknowledge Him in all our ways, not just some, we invite His guidance into every part of our lives.
The promise is powerful: “he shall direct thy paths.” God doesn’t promise to show you everything at once, but He does promise to guide you step by step. When you trust Him fully, He will lead you exactly where you need to go.
Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Help me to trust You with all my heart and not rely on my own understanding. When things don’t make sense, remind me that You are in control. Teach me to acknowledge You in every area of my life and to seek Your direction daily. Guide my steps, order my path, and give me peace as I follow where You lead.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
