Life can feel like it’s coming apart—plans fall through, burdens pile up, and things seem out of control. But this verse gives a powerful truth: everything is held together by Christ. Nothing is outside His authority, and nothing slips from His hands.
The same Jesus who created all things is the One sustaining all things. That means your life is not random or falling apart—it is being held together by Him, even when you don’t understand what’s happening.
When things feel unstable, remember this: Christ is constant. He is before all things, above all things, and in control of all things. What feels like chaos to you is still under His command.
You may not be able to hold everything together—but you don’t have to. He already is.
Prayer
Lord, when my life feels uncertain and out of control, remind me that You are holding all things together. Help me to trust You in the middle of confusion and not lean on my own understanding. Strengthen my faith to rest in Your power and sovereignty. Thank You for being constant when everything else feels unstable. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
