Scripture (KJV) – Nahum 1:7
“The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.”
Reflection
Trouble is something every believer will face at some point in life. There are seasons of fear, uncertainty, heartbreak, and spiritual battles that can leave us feeling weak and overwhelmed. Yet in the middle of every storm, God remains our stronghold — our safe place of refuge and strength.
Nahum reminds us that the Lord is not distant from His people during difficult times. He knows those who trust in Him. That means God sees your struggles, hears your prayers, and understands every burden you carry. Even when others may not understand what you are going through, the Lord knows and cares deeply for His children.
A stronghold is a place of protection and security. When the pressures of life begin to close in, God invites us to run to Him instead of giving in to fear. His goodness does not change with circumstances. He is faithful in the valley just as much as on the mountaintop.
Today, no matter what battle you may be facing, remember that God is still your refuge. You are not walking through the storm alone. His presence surrounds you, His promises sustain you, and His strength will carry you through.
Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for being my refuge and stronghold in times of trouble. When fear and uncertainty rise around me, help me place my full trust in You. Remind me that You are near and that Your goodness never fails. Strengthen my heart, calm my spirit, and guide me through every storm I face. Help me rest in Your protection and walk by faith each day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
