Scripture (KJV) – Acts 1:8
“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”
Reflection
Jesus did not send His followers out empty-handed—He gave them power. Not human strength, not talent, not ability, but divine power through the Holy Ghost.
This same power is available to every believer today. The Holy Spirit equips us to live boldly, stand firm in truth, and share the gospel with confidence. We are not called to be silent or passive—we are called to be witnesses.
Notice the order: power comes first, then the mission. We don’t go in our own strength; we go empowered by God Himself. Whether it’s in your home, your community, or wherever God leads you, the Spirit gives you what you need to speak, serve, and stand.
You don’t have to feel qualified—God has already equipped you. The question is not whether you have power, but whether you are walking in it.
Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit and the power You have given me. Help me to walk boldly in that power and not shrink back in fear. Use me as a witness for You wherever I go. Give me the words to speak, the courage to stand, and the heart to serve others. Let my life reflect Your truth and Your love.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
