November 2 – Romans 10:9-10
Scripture (KJV): Romans 10:9-10“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” — Romans 10:9-10 Reflection: Salvation is not earned by our works, our goodness, or our efforts, but by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. These verses clearly show us the simplicity and power of the gospel. We are called to believe in our hearts that Jesus died and rose again, and to confess Him openly as Lord. Belief is more than agreement—it is trusting Jesus with your life, surrendering your will, and resting in His finished work on the cross. Confession is the outward declaration of an inward faith. When we confess Christ, we are declaring that He is our King, our Savior, and our only hope for eternal life. This salvation is not partial — it is full, complete, and secured by the blood of Jesus. It is a gift, freely offered, and joyfully received by faith. Let these verses remind us daily to stand firm on the foundation of the gospel and to share this message with others who need the hope of Christ. Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for making salvation available to me through Your death and resurrection. I believe in my heart that You are the risen Savior, and I confess You as the Lord of my life. Help me to live each day in obedience, gratitude, and boldness, sharing the hope of the gospel with others. Strengthen my faith and let my life reflect Your grace. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
