Scripture (KJV) – Romans 10:9
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
Reflection
Salvation is not complicated, but it is life-changing. Romans 10:9 clearly shows us two essential responses: confess and believe.
To confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus means openly declaring that He is Lord — not just Savior, but Master. It is a public acknowledgment that your life now belongs to Him.
To believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead means trusting fully in the finished work of Christ. The resurrection is the proof that sin was defeated and the sacrifice was accepted. It is the foundation of our hope.
This verse reminds us that salvation is not earned by works, status, or effort. It is received by faith. It is personal. It is transformational. When belief fills the heart and confession flows from the mouth, salvation becomes a reality.
If you have trusted Christ, walk confidently in that promise. If you have not, the invitation stands open today. The gospel is simple, powerful, and available to all who believe.
Prayer
Lord Jesus,
Thank You for making the way of salvation clear. I believe You died for my sins and rose again. I confess You as Lord over my life. Strengthen my faith and help me live boldly for You. Let my words and actions reflect the salvation You have given me. In Your name I pray, Amen.
