2 Timothy 1:13 (KJV)
“Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.”
Reflection
We live in a time when truth is often questioned and God’s Word is frequently ignored. Many voices compete for our attention, offering opinions that change with the culture. But the truth of Scripture never changes because God never changes.
Paul encouraged Timothy to hold firmly to the truth he had received. That same command applies to every believer today. We must build our lives upon the Word of God instead of the shifting ideas of the world. When we know the Scriptures, we can recognize error, resist temptation, and remain faithful even when our faith is tested.
Standing for truth is not about winning arguments. It is about faithfully representing Jesus Christ with both conviction and love. The world needs believers who are grounded in God’s Word, compassionate toward others, and unwilling to compromise biblical truth.
Ask yourself today: Am I allowing God’s Word to shape my thinking, or am I allowing the world to shape it? Stand firmly on the truth, knowing that God’s promises will never fail.
Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for giving me Your unchanging Word. Help me to stand firmly upon the truth of Scripture no matter what the world may say. Give me wisdom to recognize error, courage to defend the faith with humility, and love to speak the truth with grace. Strengthen my heart so that I will never be ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. May my life be a testimony that points others to Your truth and Your saving grace.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
