July 27 – The Door Is Still Open

Scripture (KJV) – Isaiah 55:6-7

“Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.”

Reflection

Every sunrise is another reminder of God’s mercy. Each new day is an opportunity to seek Him, repent of sin, and walk in fellowship with Him. Yet Isaiah also gives us a solemn warning: there will come a day when the opportunity to respond to God’s invitation will end.

The Lord is patient, but His patience should never be mistaken for approval of sin. Many people believe they can wait until tomorrow to get right with God, but Scripture repeatedly reminds us that tomorrow is never promised. The Holy Spirit lovingly convicts our hearts today because God desires that no one should perish but that all should come to repentance.

God’s invitation is filled with hope. No matter how far someone has wandered, His mercy is greater than their sin. He promises abundant pardon to every person who genuinely turns to Him. There is no life too broken, no heart too hardened, and no past too sinful for the grace of Jesus Christ.

If the Lord is speaking to your heart today, do not ignore His voice. Respond while the door of grace is still open. One day Christ will return, and the opportunity to receive His salvation will come to an end. Today is the day to seek the Lord with all your heart.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your amazing mercy and for the invitation to come boldly into Your presence through Jesus Christ. Forgive me for the times I have delayed obedience or ignored Your conviction. Search my heart and reveal anything that is not pleasing to You. Give me a spirit of true repentance and a deeper desire to walk in holiness. Help me to live each day with eternity in view and to faithfully share the Gospel with those who do not yet know You. Thank You for Your abundant forgiveness and unfailing love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
