“And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.”
Reflection
In a world full of uncertainty, Jesus gives one of the most powerful assurances a believer can have—you are secure in Him. This is not based on your ability to hold on to God, but on His power to hold on to you.
Jesus makes it clear: eternal life is not temporary, and it is not fragile. Once given, it is secure. You are not at the mercy of circumstances, attacks, or even your own fears. You are in His hand.
And not only that—you are also in the Father’s hand. This double assurance shows the absolute security of the believer. There is no force greater than God, and nothing can separate you from His grip.
When doubts come, when you feel weak, or when the enemy tries to make you question your standing—go back to this truth: you belong to Him, and He is holding you.
Today, rest in the security of your salvation. You are not slipping through His fingers. You are firmly held by the King of kings.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for the security I have in You. Help me to rest in the truth that I am held in Your hand and nothing can take me away from You. Strengthen my faith when doubts come, and remind me daily of Your power and love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
