Scripture (KJV) – Isaiah 40:31
“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
Reflection
Waiting is never easy. Sometimes we pray and expect immediate answers, immediate healing, immediate direction, or immediate change. Yet God often works in seasons of waiting to strengthen our faith and draw us closer to Him. Waiting on the Lord does not mean giving up—it means trusting that God’s timing is greater than our own.
Isaiah reminds us that those who wait upon the Lord will have their strength renewed. God promises fresh strength for tired hearts, peace for anxious minds, and endurance for weary souls. When we feel drained by life’s burdens, God lifts us up like an eagle soaring above the storm. He gives us the power to keep moving forward even when the path is difficult.
No matter what you are facing today, remember that God has not forgotten you. His plans are still working, even in the waiting. Trust Him one step at a time, and He will carry you through.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for being faithful in every season of life. Help me to trust You even when I do not understand the timing of things around me. Renew my strength when I grow weary and fill my heart with peace as I wait upon You. Teach me to walk by faith and not by fear. Remind me daily that You are working all things together for good. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
