Scripture (KJV) – Lamentations 3:25–26
“The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.
It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.”
Reflection
Waiting is one of the hardest things we are called to do. We want answers now, relief now, direction now. But God works in seasons, not in haste. These verses remind us that there is goodness in the waiting when we are waiting on Him. It is not wasted time—it is shaping time.
When you wait on the Lord, you are learning to trust His timing instead of forcing your own. Quiet waiting is not passive; it is active faith. It is choosing hope when nothing has changed yet. It is seeking Him when you don’t have all the answers.
God promises His goodness to those who wait and seek Him. That means even in the silence, He is working. Even in the delay, He is preparing something greater than what you can see right now.
Prayer
Lord, teach me to wait on You with patience and faith. Help me not to rush ahead of Your will or become discouraged in the delay. Strengthen my heart to trust Your timing, knowing that You are always good and always working. Give me peace as I wait and hope in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
