October 30 – Romans 5:8

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 (KJV)

Reflection:

This verse speaks of the deep, unconditional love of God. He did not wait for us to become better, cleaner, or more worthy. Christ died for us when we were at our worst—lost, broken, and unable to save ourselves. That is grace. That is love beyond human understanding.

Many times we think we must earn God’s love or try to prove ourselves worthy. But this verse reminds us that our salvation is not based on our goodness, but on His mercy. When Christ went to the cross, He already knew every sin we would commit—and He still chose to love us.

Let this truth give you peace today. God’s love for you is constant, unchanging, and everlasting. Walk in the assurance that you are loved—not because of what you have done, but because of who He is.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for loving me even when I did not deserve it. Thank You for sending Your Son to die for my sins. Help me to rest in Your grace and to live with a grateful heart. Strengthen my faith, renew my mind, and lead me to show Your love to others. I give You all glory and praise. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
