October 13 – Jeremiah 31:3

“The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.”
Jeremiah 31:3 (KJV)

Reflection:
This verse reveals the heart of God toward His people. His love is not temporary, uncertain, or based on our performance. It is everlasting — unchanging, unwavering, and eternal. Before you ever knew Him, God loved you. Before you prayed, repented, worshiped, or understood His Word, He already set His love upon you.

He says, “I have drawn thee.” That means your desire for Him, your conviction to turn from sin, your hunger for His presence — all of it began with Him calling you. You did not find God — God came after you. He pursued you, reached for you, and continues to draw you closer today.

Even when life feels heavy, or when you feel unworthy, His love does not become weaker. His love is steady. His love is patient. His love is stronger than your mistakes and more faithful than your emotions.

Rest today in this truth:
You are loved — deeply, personally, and eternally by God.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me with an everlasting love. Help me to never forget Your faithfulness and kindness toward me. Draw my heart closer to You every day. Remove anything that pulls me away, and strengthen my walk with You. Let my life be a reflection of Your love to others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
