Scripture (KJV): Lamentations 3:22-23
“It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” — Lamentations 3:22-23
Reflection:
These verses were written during a time of deep sorrow and national suffering. Yet even in the middle of grief and destruction, Jeremiah pauses and remembers something powerful: God is still faithful. His mercy is not dependent on our circumstances, our feelings, or the condition of the world around us. His compassion does not run dry.
Every day we wake up is evidence that God is not finished with us. His mercy meets us with the sunrise. His forgiveness, patience, and grace are renewed again and again. When life seems overwhelming or when we feel we have failed, we can return to this truth—God’s love has no expiration date. His faithfulness continues even when ours falters.
Today, receive His fresh mercy. Let this new day be a reminder that He has not given up on you.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your unfailing mercy and compassion. Thank You for allowing me to see another day that I did not deserve, but You gave out of love. Strengthen my heart to trust Your faithfulness when my feelings are weak. Help me to walk today in gratitude, obedience, and renewed hope. Remind me that Your love remains constant no matter what I face. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
