April 1 – The Fruit of the Spirit

Scripture (KJV) – Galatians 5:22-23
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”

Reflection
The Christian life is not just about what we avoid—it’s about what God produces in us. These verses show us what a life led by the Spirit looks like. It’s not something we manufacture on our own; it is the result of God working inside of us.

Love replaces selfishness. Joy overcomes discouragement. Peace steadies us in chaos. Patience (longsuffering) helps us endure. Gentleness and goodness shape how we treat others. Faith keeps us grounded in trust. Meekness brings humility, and temperance gives us self-control.

When we stay connected to God, these qualities begin to grow naturally in our lives. Just like fruit grows on a healthy tree, spiritual fruit grows in a heart that is surrendered to the Holy Spirit.

Today, instead of striving in your own strength, simply walk with God—and let Him produce the fruit.

Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the work of Your Spirit in my life. I know I cannot produce this fruit on my own, but You can grow it in me. Help me to stay connected to You today. Fill me with Your love, joy, and peace, and teach me to walk in patience, kindness, and self-control. Shape my heart to reflect You in everything I do.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
