“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.”
Reflection
In a world that often encourages people to live however they please, God’s Word reminds us that every life will one day be measured by His perfect righteousness. Nothing is hidden from His eyes. Every thought, every word, every action, and every motive is fully known to Him.
The fear of the Lord is not a terror that drives us away from God; it is a holy reverence that draws us closer to Him. It is recognizing His greatness, His holiness, His justice, and His authority over our lives. When we truly fear the Lord, we desire to obey Him—not because we must, but because we love Him.
One day every believer will stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ to give an account for how we lived after salvation. Those who have rejected Christ will stand before the Great White Throne Judgment and face eternal separation from God. These truths should move us to examine our own hearts and to lovingly share the Gospel while there is still time.
Today is another opportunity to live for God’s glory. Let your decisions honor Him, your words encourage others, and your life point people to Jesus Christ.
Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Teach me to live each day with a holy reverence for You. Help me never to forget that You see every part of my life and that nothing is hidden from Your sight. Give me a heart that desires obedience, integrity, and faithfulness. Strengthen me to be a witness for Christ and give me compassion for those who do not yet know Him. May my life bring honor and glory to Your name until the day I stand before You.
