April 3 – Delivered From Darkness

Scripture (KJV) – Colossians 1:13-14
“Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:”

Reflection
This passage is a powerful reminder of what God has already done for every believer. You are not trying to escape darkness—God has already delivered you from it.

Before Christ, we were under the power of sin, separated from God, and walking in spiritual darkness. But through Jesus, everything changed. We have been transferred—moved completely—from darkness into His kingdom of light. That means your identity is no longer found in your past, your sin, or your struggles. It is found in Christ.

Not only have we been delivered, but we have also been redeemed. The price for our freedom was paid in full by the blood of Jesus. And because of that, our sins are forgiven—not partially, but completely.

Walk today in the freedom God has already given you. You are no longer bound—you are redeemed.

Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for delivering me from the power of darkness and bringing me into the kingdom of Your Son. Thank You for the redemption and forgiveness I have through Jesus. Help me to walk in the freedom You have given me and not return to the things You have already set me free from. Remind me daily of who I am in You.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
