October 14 – Genesis 1:1

“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” Genesis 1:1 (KJV) Reflection:This verse is the foundation of our faith. Before anything existed — before time, light, land, mountains, oceans, or stars — God was. He is the eternal Creator, the One who spoke all things into existence by His power alone. This reminds us that our lives are not accidents and the world is not random. Everything has purpose because God is the Author of all creation. If God created the heavens and the earth, then surely He is able to guide, sustain, and provide for us today. The One who shaped galaxies also shapes our steps. The One who formed the oceans can calm the storms within us. The One who brought all things into existence from nothing can restore what is broken in our lives. Genesis 1:1 calls us to trust — to remember who God is. Our faith begins not with our circumstances, but with our Creator, who has all authority, all wisdom, and all love. Today, let your heart rest in this truth: God is in control.God is sovereign.God is the beginning of everything — including your tomorrow. Prayer:Father God, You are the Creator of heaven and earth, and everything exists by Your power and will. Help me to remember that my life is in Your hands. Strengthen my faith to trust You in every situation. Teach me to walk in awe, surrender, and worship each day, knowing You are my Maker, my Sustainer, and my Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen. October 13 – Jeremiah 31:3

“The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.”Jeremiah 31:3 (KJV) Reflection:This verse reveals the heart of God toward His people. His love is not temporary, uncertain, or based on our performance. It is everlasting — unchanging, unwavering, and eternal. Before you ever knew Him, God loved you. Before you prayed, repented, worshiped, or understood His Word, He already set His love upon you. He says, “I have drawn thee.” That means your desire for Him, your conviction to turn from sin, your hunger for His presence — all of it began with Him calling you. You did not find God — God came after you. He pursued you, reached for you, and continues to draw you closer today. Even when life feels heavy, or when you feel unworthy, His love does not become weaker. His love is steady. His love is patient. His love is stronger than your mistakes and more faithful than your emotions. Rest today in this truth:You are loved — deeply, personally, and eternally by God. Prayer:Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me with an everlasting love. Help me to never forget Your faithfulness and kindness toward me. Draw my heart closer to You every day. Remove anything that pulls me away, and strengthen my walk with You. Let my life be a reflection of Your love to others. In Jesus’ name, Amen. Junior Tate Ministriesgreatcommissiontoday.com

Empowered to Fulfill the Great Commission: Our Call to Action

The Great Commission: A Divine Command At the heart of the Christian faith lies a divine instruction from Jesus, known as the Great Commission. This pivotal directive, as outlined in Matthew 28:19-20, serves as a roadmap for all believers to follow: This scriptural mandate not only encourages believers to take action but also reassures them that Jesus is with us always, until the very end. It’s a call to reach out and embrace every nation with God’s love and truth. Empowerment through the Holy Spirit The journey of fulfilling the Great Commission does not occur in isolation; it requires empowerment from the Holy Spirit. As expressed in Acts 1:8, believers receive the Holy Spirit’s power to witness: “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” This verse illustrates the three phases of evangelism from the early church, inspiring us to continue this mission: Our Ongoing Call as Ambassadors As believers, we are not just recipients of faith, but ambassadors for Christ. In 2 Corinthians 5:20, we are reminded of our role: “Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.” This serves as a powerful reminder of our responsibility to live out our faith authentically and to contend for the truth: In-depth Study: The Book of Revelation Understanding our role as ambassadors includes digging deeper into Scripture. Understanding the Great Commission

What Is the Great Commission? The Great Commission, as recorded in Matthew 28:18-20, is a clarion call for every believer. With these powerful words, Jesus entrusted His followers with a mission: This divine commission provides a clear directive: to make disciples of all nations. By fulfilling these commands, we actively participate in God’s plan to reach the world with the Gospel. Scriptural Foundation Matthew 28:18-20 (KJV): 18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Empowered by the Holy Spirit The Great Commission is not a command we fulfill in our own strength. In Acts 1:8, we are reminded that: But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. This promise empowers us to be Christ’s witnesses. The pattern laid out in Acts illustrates how this mission expands: Our Ongoing Call As believers, we are ambassadors for Christ, tasked with a monumental responsibility. Our mission aligns with God’s desire for all to be saved: Scriptural affirmations of our calling include: Until every ear has heard, the Great Commission continues, calling us to be active participants in God’s kingdom. The Book of Revelation – It’s About His Kingdom!

For generations, the Book of Revelation has been portrayed as a book of gloom and doom—filled with beasts, judgments, and fire. It’s been sensationalized in books, movies, and even pulpits as a story of tribulation and terror. But as one of my book editors, Ron Ferrell, so powerfully reminds us, Revelation is so much more. “The Book of Revelation has long been sensationalized in books, movies, and even churches as gloom and doom—tribulation and the lake of fire. But my eyes were opened: it is so much more. It is—and always will be—about Christ’s Kingdom.” Yes, it certainly is. Revelation is not merely a record of judgment; it is the unveiling of the righteous King whose justice and mercy establish His everlasting Kingdom. Prophecy does not exist apart from that purpose—it flows from it. Every vision, symbol, and event reveals the authority of Jesus Christ and the unfolding of His divine reign. From beginning to end, Revelation reveals His power, His promises, and His presence with His people. If you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, you are already a citizen of this Kingdom. You belong to the Bride who will one day reign with Him. That means Revelation is not only about what’s coming—it’s also about you. A Kingdom Lens for Reading Revelation To truly understand Revelation, we must see it through the lens of Christ’s Kingdom: When you read Revelation this way, fear gives way to faith. It’s no longer a book of destruction—it’s a declaration of victory. A Word to Unbelievers Yes, Revelation warns of judgment, but its warnings are wrapped in mercy. It’s God’s final call for repentance—an urgent plea to come to the King while there is still time. The same Jesus who judges is the Jesus who saves. If you have not trusted Christ, this book is your open door. Repent, believe the gospel, and enter His Kingdom today. The Chronological Order of Revelation

The Book of Revelation is not a random collection of visions—it is a divinely structured revelation of Jesus Christ given in chronological order. Understanding this layout brings clarity to what John saw, what is happening now, and what will unfold in the future. When John was on the Isle of Patmos, the Lord Himself gave him the key to understanding the book’s structure. In Revelation 1:19, Jesus said: “Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter.” This single verse divides the entire book of Revelation into three clear divisions: 1. “The things which thou hast seen” — The Past (Chapter 1) This first section covers John’s vision of the glorified Christ among the seven golden candlesticks. It’s a picture of Jesus as the risen Lord—no longer the suffering Lamb, but the victorious King who holds the seven stars (the angels of the churches) in His hand and walks among the candlesticks (the churches). This vision represents what John had seen—a powerful image of Christ’s authority, purity, and glory. 2. “The things which are” — The Present Church Age (Chapters 2–3) This division contains the letters to the seven churches of Asia Minor—Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamos, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea. Each letter reveals both commendation and correction, and together they reflect the entire Church Age, from the time of the apostles until today. Although only seven churches are mentioned, history records that there were actually ten in Asia Minor. Revelation focuses on seven because the number seven represents completeness in Scripture. These seven churches also represent seven types of churches—and seven types of believers—that exist throughout time. The letters also have a twofold meaning: 3. “The things which shall be hereafter” — The Future (Chapters 4–22) Beginning in Chapter 4, the scene shifts from earth to heaven. John hears a voice say, “Come up hither,” symbolizing the Rapture of the Church. From this point forward, the Church is no longer mentioned on earth, confirming that believers have been taken up. This final division unfolds the tribulation period, the return of Christ as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, the millennial reign, and finally the creation of a new heaven and new earth. It is here that Revelation reveals the full victory of Christ—the same One John saw in Chapter 1, now returning as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. A Book Like No Other Revelation is the only prophetic book in the New Testament, and the only one that promises a blessing to those who read, hear, and keep its words (Revelation 1:3). It is Christ’s own revelation—His prophecy—given in perfect order for the Church to understand God’s ultimate plan for mankind. When read in its chronological flow—from what John saw, to what is now, and to what shall be hereafter—the Book of Revelation comes alive as a complete picture of God’s redemptive timeline and Christ’s eternal reign.
