April 16 – Ask God For Wisdom

Scripture (KJV) – James 1:5“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” ReflectionGod does not expect us to have all the answers—He invites us to come to Him for them. This verse is a powerful promise that when we lack wisdom, we can simply ask God, and He will give it freely. He is not reluctant, and He does not criticize us for needing help. Instead, He gives generously. Wisdom is more than knowledge—it is the ability to apply God’s truth to everyday life. We face decisions, challenges, and uncertainties constantly, and trying to figure everything out on our own often leads to confusion and frustration. But God offers clarity to those who seek Him. The key is to ask in faith, trusting that God hears and will answer in His perfect timing. Sometimes His wisdom comes through His Word, sometimes through prayer, and sometimes through godly counsel. But when we truly seek Him, He will guide our steps. You never have to walk through life guessing your way forward. God is ready and willing to lead you—just ask. PrayerLord, I come to You asking for wisdom. I don’t want to rely on my own understanding, but on Your truth and guidance. Help me to seek You in every decision I face. Give me clarity where there is confusion, direction where there is uncertainty, and peace as I trust in Your leading. Thank You for giving generously and for always being ready to guide me. In Jesus’ name, Amen. juniortateministries.comgreatcommissiontoday.com

March 9 – The Consequences of Disobedience

Scripture (KJV) – Deuteronomy 28:15 “But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:” Reflection Deuteronomy 28 is a powerful chapter that contrasts the blessings of obedience with the consequences of disobedience. In verse 15, God warns Israel that turning away from His commands would bring serious consequences. This was not because God desired to punish His people, but because He wanted them to understand the seriousness of walking away from His truth. God’s commands are not given to restrict us, but to protect us and guide us toward life, peace, and blessing. When people reject God’s voice and choose their own path, they often experience the painful results of that decision. Sin always carries consequences, whether spiritual, emotional, or even physical. For believers today, this verse reminds us of the importance of listening to the Lord and living according to His Word. While salvation comes through grace by faith in Jesus Christ, obedience remains an important part of our relationship with God. A heart that loves God will desire to follow Him. The good news is that God is merciful. Even when we fail, He invites us to repent, return to Him, and walk again in His ways. His grace restores us and gives us strength to live faithfully. Prayer Lord, thank You for Your Word that guides and corrects us. Help me to listen carefully to Your voice and to follow Your commands with a willing heart. When I am tempted to go my own way, remind me of the wisdom and protection found in obedience to You. Forgive me for the times I have failed, and lead me back to Your truth. Strengthen my faith so that my life will honor You in all that I do. In Jesus’ name, Amen. juniortateministries.comgreatcommissiontoday.com
