January 16 – Love Reveals God

Scripture — 1 John 4:8 (KJV) 8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. Reflection This verse reveals a foundational truth about who God is. Love is not merely something God does—it is His very nature.  To truly know God is to be transformed by His love, and that love must be reflected in how we live and how we treat others. John makes it clear that genuine love is evidence of a real relationship with God. When we walk in bitterness, hatred, or indifference, we contradict the character of the God we claim to know.  But when we love—sacrificially, faithfully, and truthfully—we reflect the heart of God to a watching world. God’s love is not shallow or emotional; it is holy, self-giving, and rooted in truth. Prayer Heavenly Father,Thank You for loving me first and for revealing Your love through Jesus Christ. Teach me to love as You love—with patience, humility, and truth. Remove anything in my heart that keeps me from loving others rightly. Let my life be a reflection of Your love so that others may see You through me.In Jesus’ name, Amen. juniortateministries.comgreatcommissiontoday.com

January 15 – The Heart God Examines

Scripture — Jeremiah 17:9–10 (KJV) 9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?10 I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings. Reflection These verses confront a truth many would rather avoid: the human heart cannot be trusted on its own. Feelings, intentions, and personal reasoning can easily lead us astray. God reminds us that without His truth and guidance, our hearts are capable of self-deception. Yet this passage does not end in despair—it ends in hope. While we may not fully understand our own hearts, the Lord does. God searches the heart with perfect knowledge and righteous judgment. He sees motives, weighs intentions, and responds with justice and mercy. This should move us to humility, repentance, and a deeper dependence on God, allowing Him to shape our hearts according to His will rather than our own desires. Prayer Heavenly Father,I acknowledge that my heart needs Your truth and guidance. Search me, examine me, and reveal anything in me that does not honor You. Shape my desires, purify my motives, and help me to walk in obedience to Your Word. I trust You as the righteous Judge who knows me completely and loves me faithfully. In Jesus’ name, Amen. juniortateministries.comgreatcommissiontoday.com

January 14 – Standing Before God

Scripture — Romans 14:12 (KJV) 12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. Reflection This verse is a sobering reminder that every believer is personally accountable to God. One day, each of us will stand before Him—not to answer for others, but to give an account of our own lives. Our choices, motives, words, and actions all matter in light of eternity. Paul’s message calls us away from judging others and back to examining our own hearts. Knowing that we will answer to God should not produce fear, but holy reverence and a desire to live faithfully. When we keep eternity in view, we are encouraged to walk in obedience, humility, and love—seeking to honor God in every area of life. Prayer Heavenly Father,Help me to live each day with the awareness that my life belongs to You. Teach me to walk in obedience, integrity, and humility, knowing that I will one day give an account to You. Search my heart, guide my steps, and help me to live in a way that honors You and reflects Your truth to others. In Jesus’ name, Amen. juniortateministries.comgreatcommissiontoday.com

January 13 – Creation Declares His Glory

Scripture — Psalm 19:1 (KJV) 1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Reflection God has not left Himself without a witness. Every sunrise, every star-filled sky, and every detail of creation speaks silently yet powerfully of His glory. Long before a word is spoken or a sermon is preached, creation itself testifies that there is a Creator—wise, powerful, and intentional. This verse reminds us that God’s glory is not hidden. It is displayed daily, openly, and constantly. The problem is not that God is silent, but that humanity often becomes distracted. When we pause and truly look at what God has made, our hearts are drawn back to reverence, humility, and worship. Creation points beyond itself—to the greatness, order, and majesty of the Lord who formed it all. Prayer Heavenly Father,Thank You for revealing Your glory through the work of Your hands. Open my eyes to see You more clearly in the world around me and remind me daily of Your power and faithfulness. Let creation draw my heart to worship You and strengthen my trust in You as Creator and Sustainer of all things. May my life also declare Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen. juniortateministries.comgreatcommissiontoday.com

January 12 — Peace Beyond Understanding

Scripture – Philippians 4:6–7 (KJV) 6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Reflection In a world filled with worry, pressure, and uncertainty, God gives believers a different response—prayer instead of anxiety. Paul does not say we will never face concerns; rather, he tells us what to do with them. Every burden, every fear, every unanswered question is an invitation to bring it before God. Notice the promise: when we pray with thanksgiving, God responds not first by changing our circumstances, but by guarding our hearts and minds with His peace. This peace does not depend on logic or outcomes—it flows directly from Christ Himself. When we surrender control to God, His peace stands watch over our thoughts, emotions, and faith. Prayer Heavenly Father,I come to You today laying down every worry, fear, and burden that weighs on my heart. Teach me to trust You fully and to bring everything to You in prayer with thanksgiving. Thank You for the peace that only You can give—a peace that goes beyond understanding and circumstances.  Guard my heart and my mind through Christ Jesus, and help me to walk in confidence, faith, and rest today. In Jesus’ name, Amen. juniortateministries.comgreatcommissiontoday.com

January 11 —The Blessing That Lasts

Scripture  Proverbs 10:22 (KJV) “The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.” Reflection God’s blessings are different from the world’s version of success. What the world calls “riches” often comes with anxiety, regret, or emptiness. But when the Lord blesses, His gifts bring peace, purpose, and joy—not sorrow. This verse reminds us that true prosperity begins with God. His blessing enriches the soul first, shaping our hearts before it ever touches our circumstances. When we walk in obedience and trust Him fully, what He provides will never steal our peace or pull us away from Him. God’s blessing may not always look like material wealth, but it always produces contentment, gratitude, and lasting fulfillment. What comes from the Lord is always good—and always enough. Prayer Gracious Father,Thank You for Your blessings that bring peace and joy. Help me to seek You above all else and to trust You as my true source. Guard my heart from chasing things that cannot satisfy, and teach me to rest in what You have provided. May my life reflect gratitude for the rich blessings You freely give.In Jesus’ name, Amen. juniortateministries.comgreatcommissiontoday.com

January 10 — Not My Will

Scripture Luke 22:42 (KJV) “Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.” Reflection In the Garden of Gethsemane, we see the depth of Christ’s humanity and the greatness of His obedience. Jesus knew the suffering that lay ahead, yet He willingly submitted Himself to the Father’s will.  This moment reveals that surrender does not mean the absence of struggle—it means choosing obedience even when the cost is great. Many of our prayers echo this same tension. We ask God to remove the pain, change the circumstance, or open another door. But true faith is found when we can say, “Not my will, but Thine, be done.” Trusting God means believing that His will is perfect, even when it leads us through difficulty. This verse calls us to lay our desires, fears, and plans at the feet of God and trust Him completely. Prayer Father God,Teach me to trust You the way Jesus trusted You. When my heart is heavy and the path is hard, help me to surrender my will to Yours. Give me strength to obey, faith to endure, and peace in knowing that Your plans are always good. May my life reflect humble submission to Your perfect will.In Jesus’ name, Amen. juniortateministries.comgreatcommissiontoday.com

January 9 — God Is in Control

Scripture Jeremiah 1:15 (KJV) “For, lo, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north, saith the LORD; and they shall come, and they shall set every one his throne at the entering of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all the walls thereof round about, and against all the cities of Judah.” Reflection This verse reminds us that God is sovereign over nations, rulers, and history itself. What appeared to be political movements and military threats were, in reality, under God’s command. The Lord was not reacting to events—He was directing them. Jeremiah was called to speak truth in a time of coming judgment, even when the message was difficult. This passage teaches us that God holds authority over the rise and fall of kingdoms, and nothing happens outside His knowledge or control. Even in times of upheaval, God is accomplishing His purposes. For believers today, this is a powerful reminder: when the world feels unstable, God is still on the throne. Our confidence is not in governments, systems, or human strength—but in the Lord who rules over all. Prayer Sovereign Lord,Thank You for reminding me that You are in control of all things. When the world around me feels uncertain or overwhelming, help me to trust Your authority and Your plan. Give me courage to stand for truth, even when it is difficult, and faith to rest in Your perfect will.In Jesus’ name, Amen. juniortateministries.comgreatcommissiontoday.com

January 8 —A Brand New Life

Scripture  2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV) “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” Reflection This verse speaks to the heart of the gospel—transformation. When a person is in Christ, change is not superficial or temporary; it is complete and inward. Salvation is not about fixing the old life, but receiving a new one. The past no longer defines the believer. Old sins, old guilt, old failures, and old identities are passed away. In Christ, God gives us a new standing, a new purpose, and a new direction.  Though we still grow daily, our identity has already been made new. This truth gives hope to the weary and freedom to the burdened. No matter where you’ve been or what you’ve done, life in Christ begins fresh—because God specializes in making all things new. Prayer Father God,Thank You for the gift of new life in Christ. Help me to walk in the truth of who You say I am, not who I used to be. Teach me to let go of the old and to live fully in the new life You have given. Renew my mind, strengthen my faith, and let my life reflect Your transforming power. In Jesus’ name, Amen. juniortateministries.comgreatcommissiontoday.com

January 7 — Hidden in the Heart

Scripture Psalm 119:11 (KJV) “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” Reflection God’s Word is not meant to be read and forgotten—it is meant to be stored, cherished, and lived out. When Scripture is hidden in the heart, it becomes a guide in moments of temptation, confusion, and decision.  The psalmist understood that victory over sin begins long before temptation appears; it starts with a heart filled with God’s truth. Hiding God’s Word in our hearts means more than memorization. It means allowing Scripture to shape our thoughts, correct our attitudes, and direct our actions. When God’s Word lives within us, it speaks louder than the voices of the world and strengthens us to walk in obedience. A heart anchored in Scripture becomes a heart aligned with God. Prayer Heavenly Father,Thank You for Your living and powerful Word. Help me not only to read it, but to treasure it in my heart. Let Your truth guide my thoughts, guard my choices, and strengthen me against sin. Shape my life by Your Word so that I may honor You in all that I do.In Jesus’ name, Amen. juniortateministries.comgreatcommissiontoday.com
