May 17 – Grace For Today

Scripture (KJV) – 2 Corinthians 12:9 “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” Reflection Many people struggle with feelings of weakness, failure, and inadequacy. We often believe we must be strong enough to handle every burden on our own. Yet God reminds us in this verse that His grace is sufficient for every trial, every hardship, and every weakness we face. The apostle Paul prayed for God to remove his struggle, but instead of removing it immediately, God promised sustaining grace. Sometimes God changes our circumstances, and sometimes He changes us while we walk through them. His strength shines brightest when we realize we cannot depend upon ourselves. Weakness does not disqualify a believer from being used by God. In fact, God often works most powerfully through humble hearts that fully depend upon Him. When you feel weak today, remember that God’s grace has not run out. His power is still enough to carry you through whatever lies ahead. Prayer Heavenly Father,Thank You for Your grace that sustains me every day. When I feel weak, discouraged, or overwhelmed, help me remember that Your strength is greater than my struggles. Teach me to depend upon You instead of my own abilities. Fill my heart with peace, strengthen my faith, and help me trust that Your grace is always enough for every challenge I face. Let the power of Christ shine through my life today. In Jesus’ name, Amen. juniortateministries.comgreatcommissiontoday.com

May 15 – Refuge In The Storm

Scripture (KJV) – Nahum 1:7 “The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.” Reflection Trouble comes to every life. Some storms arrive suddenly without warning, while others linger for long seasons. In difficult moments, people often search for something stable to hold onto. This verse reminds us that God Himself is our stronghold — our safe place in times of trouble. A stronghold is a place of protection and security. When the pressures of life become overwhelming, the Lord invites His people to run to Him instead of fear, worry, or despair. God is not distant from the struggles of His children. He knows those who trust in Him personally and cares deeply about every burden they carry. Even when circumstances seem uncertain, God’s goodness never changes. His presence remains constant through every battle, every hardship, and every trial. You may feel surrounded by problems today, but you are never without hope when the Lord is your refuge. Prayer Heavenly Father,Thank You for being my refuge and strength in difficult times. When troubles come and fear tries to overwhelm me, help me run to You instead of depending on my own understanding. Remind me that You are near, faithful, and fully aware of every need in my life. Strengthen my faith and give me peace in the middle of every storm. Help me trust You more each day and rest securely in Your care. May 14 – Trusting God’s Direction

Scripture (KJV) – Proverbs 16:9 “A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.” Reflection Many times we make plans for our lives and expect things to happen a certain way. We set goals, prepare for the future, and try to map everything out. Yet life often takes unexpected turns. Doors open that we never imagined, and sometimes the doors we wanted most remain closed. This verse reminds us that while people make plans, God ultimately directs the path. God sees what we cannot see. He knows the future completely, and His wisdom is far greater than our understanding. What may look like a delay, disappointment, or detour could actually be God protecting you or guiding you toward something better according to His will. Trusting God’s direction requires faith. It means believing that even when life feels uncertain, the Lord is still leading. Every step surrendered to Him is a step guided by His hand. You may not always understand the path, but you can trust the One who leads you on it. Prayer Heavenly Father,Thank You for guiding my life even when I do not fully understand the path ahead. Help me trust Your direction more than my own understanding. When plans change or uncertainty comes, remind me that Your wisdom is perfect and Your ways are higher than mine. Lead my steps today and help me walk in obedience, faith, and peace. Give me confidence knowing that You are always working for my good and Your glory. May 13 – Peace In Troubled Times

Scripture (KJV) – John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” Reflection The world offers temporary peace that depends on circumstances going well, but the peace Jesus gives is different. His peace remains even in the middle of storms, uncertainty, and trials. When everything around us feels unstable, Christ offers a calm and steady heart through His presence. Jesus spoke these words to His disciples before going to the cross. He knew difficult days were ahead for them, yet He reminded them not to let fear control their hearts. The same truth applies to believers today. Fear will try to overwhelm us through bad news, struggles, and uncertainty, but God calls us to trust Him instead of surrendering to anxiety. True peace is not the absence of trouble. True peace is knowing that Jesus is with you through the trouble. No matter what today holds, God is still in control. His hand is still guiding your life, and His promises are still true. Prayer Heavenly Father,Thank You for the peace that only You can give. When fear and worry try to fill my heart, help me remember that You are near and fully in control. Calm my anxious thoughts and strengthen my faith today. Teach me to trust You in every situation and to rest in Your promises instead of my fears. Fill my heart with Your peace and help me reflect that peace to others around me. In Jesus’ name, Amen. juniortateministries.comgreatcommissiontoday.com

May 12 – Held By God’s Strength

Scripture (KJV) – Psalm 73:26 “My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.” Reflection There are moments in life when our strength runs out. Our bodies grow tired, our minds become overwhelmed, and our hearts feel discouraged. Even faithful believers experience weakness and difficult seasons. Yet this verse gives powerful hope — when our strength fails, God’s strength never does. The psalmist understood that human ability has limits, but God remains constant forever. The Lord is not only our helper during hard times; He is our portion. That means He is enough. Earthly things may fade, people may disappoint us, and circumstances may change, but God remains faithful through every season. Sometimes God allows us to reach the end of ourselves so we will fully depend upon Him. In weakness, His power becomes even more visible. When you feel weary today, remember that you are not holding yourself together alone. God is holding you. Prayer Heavenly Father,Thank You for being my strength when I feel weak and overwhelmed. When my heart grows discouraged and my mind becomes weary, remind me that You are always near. Help me trust You completely and lean upon Your strength instead of my own. Fill me with peace, courage, and renewed faith today. Thank You for never leaving me and for being my portion forever. In Jesus’ name, Amen. juniortateministries.comgreatcommissiontoday.com

May 11 – God Gives Strength

Scripture (KJV) – Isaiah 40:31 “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Reflection Life can wear us down. There are seasons when the burdens feel heavy, the battles seem endless, and the answers from God appear delayed. Yet this verse reminds us that our strength does not come from ourselves. It comes from the Lord. Waiting upon God does not mean doing nothing. It means trusting Him, seeking Him, praying, and believing that He is working even when we cannot see it. God promises renewal for the weary believer. He gives strength to keep moving forward when we feel weak and exhausted. The eagle does not struggle against the storm. It rises above it. In the same way, God can lift His people above fear, discouragement, and weariness when they place their trust in Him. You may feel tired today, but God has not forgotten you. His strength is greater than your weakness. Prayer Heavenly Father,Thank You for being my source of strength when I feel weak and overwhelmed. Help me to wait upon You with faith and patience. Renew my heart, renew my mind, and give me courage to continue walking in Your will. Teach me to trust You even when I do not understand the season I am in. Lift me above fear and discouragement and help me to rest in Your promises. In Jesus’ name, Amen. juniortateministries.comgreatcommissiontoday.com

May 10 – Light in Dark Places

Scripture (KJV) – 2 Samuel 22:29“For thou art my lamp, O LORD: and the LORD will lighten my darkness.” ReflectionThere are seasons when life feels dark—when direction is unclear, burdens feel heavy, and hope seems distant. In those moments, God does not always remove the darkness immediately, but He promises to be your light within it. A lamp does not always illuminate the whole path at once—it gives just enough light for the next step. That is how God often works in our lives. He guides you one step at a time, teaching you to trust Him daily rather than relying on your own understanding. No matter how dark things may seem, God is not absent. He is present, lighting your way, guiding your steps, and reminding you that darkness never has the final say. His light is greater, and it will lead you through. Trust His light today, even if you can only see the next step. PrayerLord, thank You for being my light in dark times. When I cannot see the way clearly, help me to trust Your guidance step by step. Remove fear from my heart and replace it with faith in Your presence. Shine Your light in every area of my life and lead me where You want me to go. In Jesus’ name, Amen. juniortateministries.comgreatcommissiontoday.com

May 9 – Rooted and Built Up

Scripture (KJV) – Colossians 2:6–7“As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.” ReflectionThe Christian life doesn’t begin and end at salvation—it continues in daily growth. Just as you received Christ by faith, you are called to walk in Him the same way—by trusting Him every day. Paul uses the picture of roots and building. Roots go deep, unseen, drawing strength and nourishment. A building rises strong because it has a firm foundation. In the same way, your life must be rooted in Christ and built up in Him. When your foundation is secure, you won’t be shaken when storms come. Growth doesn’t happen overnight. It happens as you stay grounded in His Word, consistent in prayer, and thankful for what He has done. A thankful heart is evidence of a life that is being strengthened in Christ. Stay rooted. Stay grounded. Keep growing. PrayerLord, help me to stay rooted in You and built up in my faith. Strengthen my foundation so I won’t be shaken by the challenges of life. Teach me to walk with You daily, trusting You in all things. Fill my heart with gratitude as I grow in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen. juniortateministries.comgreatcommissiontoday.com

May 8 – Peace Beyond Understanding

Scripture (KJV) – John 16:33“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” ReflectionJesus never promised a life free from trouble—in fact, He told us plainly that tribulation would come. But right in the middle of that truth, He gives us something greater than an easy life—He gives us His peace. This peace is not based on circumstances. It is not the absence of problems, but the presence of Christ. While the world brings pressure, fear, and uncertainty, Jesus reminds us that He has already overcome it all. Whatever you are facing today, it is not greater than Him. The battle you see is already under His victory. Because He overcame the world, you can walk through difficulty with confidence, knowing the outcome is already secured in Him. Be of good cheer—not because life is easy, but because Christ is victorious. PrayerLord, thank You for the peace that only You can give. In the middle of trials and difficulties, help me to rest in Your victory. Strengthen my heart when I feel overwhelmed, and remind me that You have already overcome the world. Fill me with Your peace today and help me to walk in faith, no matter what comes. In Jesus’ name, Amen. juniortateministries.comgreatcommissiontoday.com

May 7 – Held Together in Him

Scripture (KJV) – Colossians 1:17“And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.” ReflectionLife can feel like it’s coming apart—plans fall through, burdens pile up, and things seem out of control. But this verse gives a powerful truth: everything is held together by Christ. Nothing is outside His authority, and nothing slips from His hands. The same Jesus who created all things is the One sustaining all things. That means your life is not random or falling apart—it is being held together by Him, even when you don’t understand what’s happening. When things feel unstable, remember this: Christ is constant. He is before all things, above all things, and in control of all things. What feels like chaos to you is still under His command. You may not be able to hold everything together—but you don’t have to. He already is. PrayerLord, when my life feels uncertain and out of control, remind me that You are holding all things together. Help me to trust You in the middle of confusion and not lean on my own understanding. Strengthen my faith to rest in Your power and sovereignty. Thank You for being constant when everything else feels unstable. In Jesus’ name, Amen. juniortateministries.comgreatcommissiontoday.com
